Sound like you?
I’m in so much pain, but no one understands.
I’m so tired of feeling sad and worthless, but I can’t do anything about it.
Everything around me feels dark and gloomy, but I can’t change it.
I just want to eat, sleep and be by myself.
Here’s what we’ll do together
Together we can break old patterns of thinking and learn to view yourself and your life differently.
Therapy can help you better communicate with the important people in your life. We will focus on recognizing the more immediate causes of your depression and how this affects your self-esteem, relationships, work and other aspects of your life. We may look at life changes that could be impacting your depression or the role past history and trauma plays in your current reactions and symptoms.
Through our work you will develop new skills which can help you to better handle your emotions and interact with the people and world around you. We will identify triggers for your depression and how to confidently handle these situations. Psychodynamic, often known as talk therapy, is one of the primary tools used in therapy sessions. CBT can be a helpful technique to break out of negative thinking patterns and form new, healthier ways of viewing life. When depression is rooted in trauma, EMDR can be a very effective technique to combat stubborn and intense emotions. AAT is an excellent tool to supplement various therapies. It can help you to feel comfortable and safe to do the deeper work required for progress and successful treatment.
At the end of the day, I want you to know:
Past experiences don’t have to continue holding you back. You are stronger than you realize.
What we’ll work on
Imagine a life where…
You feel connected and at peace with yourself and the people around you.
